Wezzy Update. 1,005,545 sold

In its first week on the market, "Tha Carter III" (Cash Money/Universal) sells just over 1 million units. The last album to top that milestone was 50 Cent's "The Massacre" in March 2005.

No album in 2006 sold as many as 800,000 copies in a single frame, and the largest sales week since "The Massacre" belonged to Kanye West's "Graduation," which nettedanopener of 957,000 copies last year when it hit stores on Sept. 11.

Lil Wayne first appeared on The Billboard 200 in 1999. His previous biggest sales week was a 238,000-unit start for "Tha Carter II" in 2005. That set entered The Billboard 200 at No. 2 while becoming his fourth No. 1 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.

Damm, Wezz still moving those kind of units in the age of the internet.

New pickup/2nd for the year.

Lil Wayne highly anticipated album Carter 3 dropped last week and it looks like its going to do some massive numbers sales wise.

According to the Nielsen SoundScan's Building Charts, Tha Carter 3, which was released last Tuesday (June 10th) was set to reach it's million-copies-sold peak by last evening, which is when Soundscan closes its trackings. On it's first day alone, Tha Carter 3's sales stood at 423,00 copies sold, and as of June 13th, the album has sold roughly 630,000 copies.

This is huge in this day and age for sales, but i guess guest appearing on just about every track/remix in the last year or so is bound to pay off. Not to mention his single "Lolipop" still sits at number one on the singles charts.

what did you wear today.

I have been locked up in the house for about week and with nothing to do but surf and watch movies. So i been going through some of my Spike Lee film's.

I really like Spike's films, there is always something to take away or think about when the movie has finished. His political and racial themes are the center of alot his work. Some people might just think that his a angry little man but he writes what he knows and he dose it well. I enjoy the familiar setting of Brooklyn, New York as the major theme in all his work. The dude also knows how to get is characters into relationship nightmares too, but they work out. Check his stuff especially his earlier work, for me you can't go past Do The Right Thing.

"Your lucky im a righteous black man".

Kevin Smith's 8th film "Zak and Miri Make A Porno" is in its post production stage and a teaser trailer has been cut. The trailer contains the movies leads, Seth Rogan and Elizabeth Banks. I have enjoyed Seth Rogan since i first discover Freaks & Geeks years back and i aslo thought that Knocked Up was the best film of 07. Movie out October 31th.
